The lessons focus on teaching the principles of guitar playing, in a step by step, easy to follow way. There are up to 12 months of lessons in their course. They teach all the basics like reading guitar TAB, guitar chord progressions, guitar playing styles, and anything else you are going to need while progressing in an easy to follow manner to more advanced techniques. They have a digital download product (which is a great value) and they also have a DVD set you can have shipped to you if you prefer to have something solid to learn with. They are a trusted company, with a lot of good customer feedback. We had no trouble with any of our orders. Their customer service was excellent during our review. Our second recommendation goes to Guitar Super Stars. Now, honestly, it was a very close call between the two systems. Guitar Super Stars is quite comprehensive in it's own right. This course is slightly aimed at those who want to learn electric guitar, but you can learn how to play all styles of guitar with this system. Many of the principles are the same, so much of the course material is still great for learning to play the guitar no matter what type of music you play. This course provides step by step guitar instruction, and teaches from a beginner to advanced level. The progression of lessons is easy to follow, and does a great job of teaching the material without going too fast for beginners. You can always watch the videos again, or pause them to study a particular part to help you learn. Learning at your own pace is one of the big advantages to these guitar teaching courses. One of the reasons that this course took 2nd place in our review process is because of a lack of a physical product. Some of us prefer to set up the DVD player in the living room on a larger screen and sit back and jam with the instructors, and unfortunately, there are currently isn't a DVD product for this one. If you are just interested in a download and online learning though, this course will suit you just fine and will have you rocking in no time. We rate this program 4 stars.
